Adam Law represents physicians, health systems, academic medical centers, and healthcare professionals in compliance matters such as privileged internal reviews, investigations, and audits; regulatory advice; subpoena response; overpayment analysis; and compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, False Claims Act, HIPAA, and related regulations.
Our Services
We have a nationwide practice representing whistleblowers, including physicians and many other professionals, in actions to report and recover taxpayer funds lost through fraud involving federal healthcare programs. The firm also represents whistleblowers who report tax fraud to the IRS and investor fraud to the SEC. In 2024, Adam Law successfully represented the whistleblowers in three settlements of actions under the False Claims Act and assisted in returning over $40 million of taxpayer funds to federal and state programs.
Representative Matters- Advised physician practice groups and other healthcare professionals regarding compliance with HIPAA, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and general regulatory compliance
- Assisted academic medical centers in assessing False Claims Act risk and responding to information requests
- Advised multi-state medical device supplier regarding compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute
- Represented a physician as a witness in a criminal trial under the Anti-Kickback Statute
- Negotiated various types of contracts on behalf of physician practice groups
- Delivered False Claims Act update to Board of Directors of large health system
- Furnished expert witness services
- Represented multiple whistleblowers in continuing qui tam litigation under the False Claims Act in matters involving the Anti-Kickback Statute, clinical lab billing, exclusion, the Stark Law, medical necessity, Medicare Part B, the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit Program, and other federal healthcare programs
- Represented whistleblowers in matters before the SEC and IRS

Thanks to our wonderful clients and friends of the firm, Adam Law had another great year in 2022! Like national trends, the firm observed active enforcement of the Anti-Kickback Statute, increased emphasis on provider self-disclosures, and continuing coding and billing issues for physicians and ancillary services.
TeamIn 2022, Adam Law was excited to welcome our experienced litigator Anna Strandberg as counsel, our talented paralegal Paula Hemphill, and our outstanding project manager Olivia Street. Together, we represented health systems, physicians, and whistleblower clients throughout the year.
